I love all of David Copperfield's magic, but I miss some of the earlier days when he did a whole routine that told a story and preformed magic throughout the story. They were very well done, and I think, unique not many other people were doing strong, dramatic routines like that. Sometimes these did end with a grande illusion, but now most of the shows he does is one grande illusion, then the next. Just my thoughts, any others?

There was one such routine I can think of, called, "Emily." This was the one about a woman who took care of other's kids, because she couldn't have kids of her own. DC performed some magic to highlight points in the story, and then used magic to reunite her with the kids, now all grown up.In an interview in MAGIC magazine a while back, Don Wayne (who helped Copperfield put this routine together) said that if he could go back in time and remove one routine of his from any Copperfield special, it would be "Emily." If you've ever seen the routine, it is a little overly-syrupy.
