Yes, there have always been an music consultant or more. In the earlier years up to the China Special in 1986 it was George Whyle. I doesnīt know any info about him really, but heīs kind of an Idol of me, since he have had my favorite job. LOL...

After him Iīve seen the names on the credits have changes quite often actually. Perhaps thereīs room for my name in the future...?

Allthough, he has a Music Consulant, David DOES CHOOSE FOR HIMSELF on the songs!!!

Itīs pretty obvious. Off Course, he wants to use the songs he feel approperate, which is often some songs from his favorite artist/composers etc. (previous alot of Gershwin) than he connects to the Illusion.

Like Stephen Bishopīs One More Night is a song that made him come up with the idea of the story for that particular Illusion.

As for Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel theyīre both his favorite artists as well as having a perfect style of music for his types of Magic. Simple a perfect combination!

Well, he have used more rap and techno lately!!! - But that wouldnīt have fitted so good several years ago though.

To be able to use the song he wants, he have to purchase the rights for those who own the rights.

Pay for 5 Phil Collins songs, and get the 6th one for free???

Eh, you donīt need an 6th sence to not "buy" that statement...

...But Seriously - If you first got a song approved at a good price, itīs easier to get "rights-deals" for the same artist again I guess.

Anyways, if David wants to used one particular song. Heīs going to buy the rights o.k.!!!

Heīs probable not cheap about it, so he could had dropped Holdridgeīs "Flying-music", simply because Bachīs "Air" is SO MUCH CHEAPER to use instead!!!

Please notice that his choise of film scores are often from out of print soundtracks from the middle 80īs LOL. Not planned that way though, but sometimes it feels like it.

I would say that Collins and Gabriels style of music they posses are perfect for Magic, but remember that itīs not just because of this heīs using them.

Phil Collins is his favorite artist, and I believe itīs becasue of the good music in general from Phil, and not BECAUSE itīs good "Magic-Music"...

Since Collins/Gabriel is both pre-genesis, they could perhaps give out and cd-collection together, and call it Collins/Gabriel:
The David Copperfield Collection?

LOL. The have enough money to not need giving out more collection CDs.

Letīs say it like this. In the China Special David most likely choosed to use music from John Williamsī Indiana Jones The Temple of Doom Soundtrack himself.

And not because of the "left-over discount" from the "Jaws", "Superman" and "The Towering Inferno" deals made with Williams from before.

Off Course, Davidīs too busy for making the arrangements for buying the rights himself, so I guess thatīs one of George Whyleīs previous jobs...

And what a job that was! LOL...

o.k. Then it comes to make it fit for the TV Specials. Often, including that Indiana Jones score, it was edited and conducted in a different way to be perfect for Davids Illusions (and impossible for the "DC Music Collectors" like myself to be "Satisfied")...

So again, the Music Consultant George Whyle had to make new arrangements so David got an edited different conducted version.

Iīm not really good in conducting though, either in music or trains...whatever(train it would be). Even the Terror one...But I can deliver conduct in a good way for a long time.

But as I said, Iīm not a good "train-conductor", so I get off tracks all the time by the end.

You can compare me as an album cause I got alot of tracks to choose from, and I usually last for about 74 minutes to end this...

Itīs funny, but I actually thought that if I actually would get a reply on my very long messages, it has probable you. Seriously, I thought you could be the person to take the time, and itīs appreciated in a way.

Why write this long, if no one would bother reading it?

Thatīs why I desided not continue with a large Michael Jackons Monolog as I kind of promised.

The truth is that I was tempted in my first message, but just was too tired. I probable could write alot about him. Heīs a strange character you know...

As for myself, I have never denided beeing crazy. Not even CRAAAZY!!!

Iīve extremly competetive of nature, especially with myself, and I like to speak whatever comes to my mind of linking connections. Sometimes while Iīm writing some kind of comedy-monologs and have a punsh-line from a couple of sentences in mind, I often need 30 sentences or someting - lol - to get there, because new links comes up in every sentence that goes futher to new links etc. I canīt stop making them up!

Trust me, you havenīt seen, I mean read anything yet!!! Iīm used to have written much longer with many more links. Actually non-stop for many hours, but only when I feel on a roll.

On Sunday I was having an average writing-feeling.

Anyways, Iīm not planning "taking off" tonight. As you said, I shouldnīt do it too often. No matter what Nike says...

Actually, I have talked to Nike regarding DC Music as well, but I wouldnīt go into that now. Just a link to mention...

At least now I know someone read through it. I must admit I was kind of afraid someone would feel offended about it, because thatīs not my intension. Especially since in a previous post everyone is talking about Chris Kenner beeing Davids right hand man etc.

Iīm used to people not understanding many of my links though. You have to have knowledge in music, especially DC Music and movies to get most of them. As for "sex-related" topics itīs simple the most used one in Norwegian Comedy, and I donīt see why itīs differnet in America...? (especially "single-jokes").

I actually just last year began writing more and more humour-stuff in English instead of Norwegian. Itīs a fun challence for me, so I can live with writing alot of "bad jokes" as long as "something" is considered funny to read...

Enough tonight though. Weīll see if I will write about M. Jackson one day in the future.
