Hey everyone. As you know about that big thing where Dc's stuff was held hostage(Well I am not going into the details). But anyway, because of that the show I went to some illusions where not performed. So, I was wondering if anyone would be so kind to tell me about them! The illusions I did not get to see include:
*test conditions*
*Voyeur*
flying
thirteen

I know what flying and thirteen where so I am only curious about the first two (Test conditions and Voyeur) So if anyone could explain them to me that would be great! Thanks everyone!

Hi, everybody;
I just read that "flying" was included in this latest show (The journey of a Lifetime), but I didn´t see it when David came to Madrid (Spain). Have anyone of you an idea of the reason why he didn´t perform "flying"?

Hi Ariel24!

Test Conditions it's a nice illusion...

David presents a empty white box and choose someone from the audience to see the box.
After that he presents "Tony Slydini" (Chris Kenner) as a cientist (i suppose...), David goes downstairs of the stage and say goodbye to the audience, Tony Slydini shows the box empty again and close it. After 2 or 3 seconds David come out from the box (tears the paper from the front box...).

Do U understand? Good...

See ya!
Elcio.

Hi Ariel24

This is my first time on the message board. I read your question and I had to answer it. I have seen David’s show in November when he was here in Holland, where I live.
In that show where the illusion you mentioned.
Uncle Marty and aunt Ida: In this illusion David takes two boys from the audience. On the stage is a sofa. The boys take place on the sofa and the David levitates the sofa with the boys on it.
Panty swap: Two girls are invited on the stage. They both were another colour of panty’s. Than David swap the panty from one girl to another. The girls are wearing each others panty’s.

I hope this is enough information.

One- Remember the end of the "imploding building" escape?

Thumbs- See the book "Magic for Dummies" by David Pogue. Look for a trick called "You Can't Do as I Do"

The Laser- A Laser beam cuts the magician's body in half, and then he walks around the stage, his body disconnected from his legs. It looks like the photo in the "tour" section of this web site.

Dancing Ties- This one was on the "Explosive Encounter" special, too. (I think.) A borrowed necktie comes to life and dances inside a glass box, and even drinks some milk. The lid flies off an upstage basket, and out pop three "back-up" dancing ties.

Tearable- One of those "interactive" pieces of magic where everyone tears up a piece of paper and puts one of the pieces anywhere they want, mixes the pieces, and the piece is found.

Teleportation- An audience member vanishes (with memorabilia from other members of the audience) and reappears accross the country (memorabilia intact).

I haven't seen the others myself, and would also be interested in descriptions. -Kenn

the difference between possible and impossible
takes on a double meaning.

"FLYING" , posted Sun 2 Jul 23:43user profileedit/delete messagepost reply

Thanks for the descriptions!!! I can't wait to see his show next year so I will be able to actually SEE some of these illusions. Well to answer you question Elcio, Flying was only performed in selected cities. If you purchased the book which had all the info. on David you would have known.... hope that helps!!! I think the reason was that some stages weren't large enough for him to perform flying, or atleast that is what I have heard. Does that explain anything?
