"Where is Endre when you need him?????!!" , Sun 6 Aug 09:30 post reply

Endre's been away from the board for what seams like over a month now i just need him to read this post!!...Endre, I hope to hear from you soon!! :-)

I should of made this clearer when i wrote the question on the post earlier but I was referring to the song Bernadette peters sings before the "Orson Wells mentalism" trick!…which song is this???...also, in the same special "DC MAGIC 1" what's the VERY familiar "death sounding" song used in "DC cut in half lengthwise"…right before he recites a line from Shakespeare?

referring to the commercial music I agree that DC music is only DC music if he or his crew actually pick it!!..but I would still get stuff that maybe wasn’t picked by copperfield..that’s what I do!

also..the DC "fable" music is some from the Peter Pan musical by Bernstein!!!..did you know this already??

In response to the goldfinger music here’s my take on it…some of the music you said was unknown is on the soundtrack… I tried to base the music on “goldfinger” tracks more closely which is what I think George Wyle did...for example the bond theme was based on the exact version in “Goldfinger” track “bond back in action”…here’s a list!

RING FINGER MUSIC

(guest intro)
??

(intro)
“Goldfinger” soundtrack: John Barry
(track: “Bond Back in Action” & “Oddjob's Pressing Engagement”)

(the casino)
“Goldfinger” soundtrack: John Barry
(track: “Alpine Drive/ Auric's Factory” & “Bond Back in Action”)

(the ring)
??

(ring testing)
“Goldfinger” soundtrack: John Barry
(track: “??” & “The Death of Goldfinger”)

(the plan)
??

(back in casino)
“Goldfinger” soundtrack: John Barry
(track: “Bond Back in Action” & “Alpine Drive/ Auric's Factory”)

(the villain)
“Goldfinger” soundtrack: John Barry
(track: “Bond Back in Action” & “Teasing a Korean”)

(finale)
“Goldfinger” soundtrack: John Barry
(tracks: “Gassing The Gangsters” & “Dawn Raid on Fort Knox”)

(closing)
“Goldfinger” soundtrack: John Barry (track: “End Titles’)

Hi Chris,

Jepp, I´ve been away from this board for a while now. I can´t be a month huh? Wow, the time flies! Actually much longer that I was expecting, since I also have had computer-
problems after changing to larger hard-disk, and getting a new
internett-supplier etc. etc.

I was too tired write reply yesterday after writing for several hours, but finally take time now.
Serioulsy, I´m afraid you wouldn´t get too pleased with my reply.

As for Bernadette Perter song, I only have that last one. My problem was that my TV Special wasn´t the Original US one, but from Japanise TV, and it was edited, so the B. Peters song before Orson Wells mentalism was edited out!!!

And very typically - One of the other "few" things edited out was actually the "death sounding" song used in "DC cut in half lengthwise"…right before he recites a line from Shakespeare?

Really sorry about not beeing able to try figure them out yet!

I have ordered the complete US-version from a guy in US now for perhaps 3 weeks ago, but I still haven´t got it!!!

But what´s new? This last month has been terrible like this.

Several video-tapes and cd´s, including rare, really expensive ones haven´t I received yet, and it´s a big problem!!!

I´ve always got what I ordered before.

Anyways, last 5 weeks has been tough, and the next 5 will be the hardest working weeks of my life.
I guess I wouldn´t be posting that much in the nearest future.

I´m agreeing with you about the DC music commercial etc. If it´s picked by DC or the crew, I´ll even post it in a DC Music list, but if not, I still will buy it. I have all those songs I have heard used in different TV Channels etc.

Even those songs used before intro. But really, is for example
"Aerosmith" DC Music??? - I´ll guess it is not DC who pick every
song used at shows over the world while the audience finds their
seats...???

Just wondering what you think though? I have probable 3/4 of all Aerosmith-songs on cd´s, and would love to call them a "DC Artist" one day...

Anyways, "Fable" is Peter Pan. That is correct. The most recoinized song is "Never Never Land". I have ordered two of the most important "Peter Pan"-cd´s to find out exactly what other songs may been used in the Special, but as I was saying. My cd´s
hasn´t arrived yet, and it´s very dissapointing!

The same goes with Goldfinger!

I´m really suppriced why I didn´t recoinize it, but you know I haven´t seen Goldfinger again since I saw Ring Finger for the first time!

All I remember from listening to Ring Finger, and felt pretty sure that the other stuff wasn´t bond-music.

Off course, I probable was thinking on the original themes from the different bond-movies that I know so well.

Now, when you´re talking about the complete Goldfinger-score, I´m thinking... - Why haven´t I checked that one out before?
Was I really so certain after the probable 10-12 times I´ve seen Goldfinger over the years since I was 8 years old, that I felt it
wasn´t even necessary to check it out???

Well, anyway. I believe you Chris. I also believe it has to be some mixes-parts from Goldfinger Score, and as soon as my Goldfinger cd FINALLY arrive to me!!! - I will try my best to confirm your list.

- Great work by the way -

Well, as you may see. I´m not pleased about my videotape/cd´s delays, because normally I should have had the chance to check out all of these last week or so, and be able to try to confirm stuff.

Now, I´m simple writing the "I`m sorry, can´t help you" reply.

I really don´t like that.

(Almost tempting to wait an other week or something to be able to
check out this DC Music myself first;-)

Well, this is more than enough. I rarely have free-time lately.
Hard video-dead-lines, and with the comedy-festival just around the corner, I have been writing too much lately.

For example yesterday, an almost 500 lines non-stop maraton about "potensial new Ice-favors" - LOL. I really can´t stop when
I´ve first started.

Well, I have to stop this reply though. I see there´re others that I´ve missed out on repling as well.

Normally I´ve been online every day you know. I really don´t think these delays will happen again, until I go on a long vacation or someting.

P.S. Off course, I´ll let you know as soon as I will get my tapes/cd´s!!!

Hi Chris,

Please send me the death music clip. I would love to listen to it!

Oh, the moonlight saving time-song. Wow, I didn´t know that!

It´s very difficult to find Bernadette Peters singing it on cd though!!! - And so is (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher).

Well, I must say I haven´t check the music list of her that often. Mostly current tour to look for updates.

I do remember she used to forget to put it a few things that I have even reminded her again, but I´m not sure what everything is. I know she had deleted the Menuetto of Mozart´s Eine kleine
Nachtmusik´ a couple of times for some odd reason since I first gave her my list a couple of years ago.

Anyways, I think she just have updated that one not so long ago...

Well, I´ve just read fastly over her music list now, and small errors like writing Peter Gabriel on the Take me down-song insteaad of Phil Collins isn´t a big deal. I will notify her to make up that easy chance.

As you know, there´s alot more questions marks than she have put out. Between most of all the Illusions in the early shows there´s often instrumental music in the background.

It´s mostly Gerswin and Bernstein.

American In Paris, West Side Story, Peter Pan etc.

Talking about West Side Story.

I´ve got several cd´s with Somewhere, and even more of Maria.

I really haven´t ordered the Symphony Dances CD, simply because
Maria wasn´t on it!

Man, how can the call the song Cha-cha when it´s basically the theme from Maria??? LOL

Anyways, Meeting Scene is typical DC-Style (and mine;-) I love using link-connections in montages...

There are different cd´s that has recorded the Symhony Dances though...

Which one of the cd´s do you have?

Yes, that "unknown" West Side Story music bugs me too! I have listen to so many WSS-cds to hopefully find correct songs.

I have found some previoulsy unreleased songs etc. but not recoinized this one. It´s obvioulsy WSS-music!

Well, enough of that. What more was I going to say...

Yes, I saw Allison hadn´t put up the "Why Do Fools Fall In Love"-song for the "50´s-Illusion". Actually, there´s two more songs in that Illusion that I´m working on...

And she also had written down "Looney Tunes" (re-recorded version) for the Psycho-Shower Scenes in both Specials.

I´m supprised why I haven´t noticed that earlier.

It´s true it quite similar to Dave Franklin´s (The Merry-Go-Round Breaks Down), which is the "Looney Tunes" Theme, but it´s really The "Merrie Melodies" Theme, which is called (Merrily We Roll Along).

It´s was originally written by Murray Mencher, Charles Tobias and Eddie Cantcr.

It was suppose to be a "pop tune", but never became a "hit", so Warner Brothers adopted the song when they started MERRIE MELODIES in 1931.

You might say this was an outgrowth of (and nearly indistingushable from) the LOONEY TUNES serials that begun one year earlier...

(LOL, sorry - I just got a little carried away here:-)...

Bottom line, both series uses many of the same characters, and it´s easy to call it all LOONEY TUNES.

But still, the song is the theme from Merrie Melodies.

What else? I´m sure there are some of the early parts that is missing. I have to look at them again. I remember that I´m still missing alot of songs (mostly those instrumentals between), but I thought Allisons´s list was quite empty.

I will try to check this out more exactly as soon as I get time o.k.

This writing is enough tonight. I´m getting up early...

Good Night, Chris.
