Okay, you music fans...here's one for you. Have you noticed that pre-show music increases in decibals as show time closens. How many shows have you been to that started "on-time", by the way?

I,too, have noticed the volume increase before each show. Now, I look for it as a clue to the beginning. Most of the shows I have seen have started close to the appointed time, but from my experience, it was always a bit off on time because of people not sitting down or being quiet. I don't think David made me wait "on purpose". (actually, I saw a show where he started a bit early.) :-) maureen

I've only seen one show that started right on time. It was 1992 at the Wilshire Theatre in Los Angeles. The show was slated for 8 p.m. and he started @ 8 p.m....I've seen the shows start up to 30 minutes late...I believe David does it purposefully to build excitement/tension which builds anticipation...I love the waiting feeling. I'm sure David does too, when he gets the audience roar.
